    WeeGranny, my OH's version -

    Mary had a little lamb
It's fleece was black as soot
    And everywhere that Mary went
    His sooty foot he put

Wonderful stories about the nativity plays.
My granddaughter was born on Christmas Eve. Her brother was 2 years old. When my daughter brought the new baby home from hospital, my grandson said “Wow, it’s the REAL baby Jesus.”

Sunshine - Awww, bless him, but you can understand his reasoning.

I had a very tired little girl tonight. They had been practising their Nativity play and I think she's finally worked out that Mary had baby Jesus, not a lamb as she first thought! They are doing two performances on Thursday, and she was telling me that she has to use a microphone so everyone can hear her. I'm quite sure GD2 could make herself heard in the Albert Hall without a microphone, but perhaps the acoustics aren't so good in the school hall. She's such a sweetheart and is taking it very seriously.

GD1 had a dress rehearsal for their production, Joseph, for Year 2 of the Infants school GD2 goes to. She said it went brilliantly, and had obviously enjoyed it. They've got 3 performances, two of them at night, and one of those nights is the day of the Academic Award outing to Bournemouth and the theatre. She's going to be a busy little bee.

Very exciting for them Daisy, they will be very tired. Yesterday at the end of my road, I saw a caterpillar of the first school children making their way to see the middle school Christmas production. They were all wearing high viz jackets.
