Same here I would class high tea as a small easy to eat meal followed by CAKE,this morning I have been browsing Liverpool Groupon and the excellent deals for Afternoon Tea's is amazing such a lot of competition but mainly all housed in the old buildings around the historic waterfront,I am going to make it my business during the winter time to visit as many as possible with my pal Margie.

On Sundays we had a roast dinner at lunch time and then high tea which was sandwiches, celery ( in season) and cheese followed by cake. Then there was supper. Cereal for us children.
When I visited my prospective in-laws in Yorkshire we had dinner (huge) early evening, followed by fish and chips at 9ish. I think I would have feasted for a week on what they ate in one day!!Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

When my parents moved to the shop we stopped having dinner in the middle of the day and had it after the shop closed at 7 pm. But most of my friends had cooked dinner (lunch) and high tea. But some had just a sandwich and cake when they got home from school and school dinners were their only hot meal of the day."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are.
