Well, it seems FIL doesn't get any care or support. I hope his family rallies round and helps and doesn't leave it all to his DD and my DS. He has to go back into hospital in about 2 weeks' time to have another stent fitted, so he's anxious about that on top of everything else. He also has a cyst on a kidney which is being investigated and still has some residual scarring on his lungs from the bad bout of pneumonia he had 3 months ago.

Sum - yes I've never seen my OH so excited about anything. He was amazed at how well the plane handled too - it's fingertip control on the yoke - nothing like all that heaving about you see in war films.

Daisy, I agree, I hope the family rallies round to share the support. I hope all goes smoothly for him with the stent fitting.

All best wishes to DS's FIL Daisy. I expect he'll miss his child-minding duties but hopefully it won't be too long until he resumes them.

thanks you ladies. Clover - it sounds very selfish, but I am hoping he will be able to resume duties when he's fit enough. I really don't think I can do any more than the 2 days I'm doing at present. I did 3 this week and I'm shattered! They've been able to get GD2 into playgroup for an extra morning while another child is away, but this is very temporary.
