    Any suggestions welcome please.

It's my GD's 1st birthday next week. I really am at a loss what to get for her. I thought of a sit on toy but mummy & daddy have just had a new floor laid. She's already got loads of toys so it's hard to think what to get her.

I did wonder if she's too little for an expanding bracelet? I'm stuck. I was surprised when my DD2 (her mummy) suggested asking you all. Hope you can help.😘

Would a push along or pull along toy be ok on the new floor, Nana?

Otherwise - activity toys (all sorts around, but VTech do an activity table for 6 months to 3 years). Leapfrog do a picnic basket. What about a soft foam play mat? I'm sure there are lots more ideas, but I can't think of any at the moment.

Sorry Nana, my GC are all grown up and GGS isn't as old as your GD. Could there be something she could play with in the garden.

For my GC's first birthdays I bought them those trikes with parent handles. Later you remove the handle so it is a normal trike. They last until around age 3.

Or clothes as she has lots of toys?

Thanks. I tend to buy GC clothes in the sale. She already has one of the push along trikes Gem. She also has an activity table Daisy. 😨

A ball pool maybe ? our boys loved theirs ,
Or maybe a toy shop gift card ? at the moment she wont understand what she's getting so parents can spend that on something later that they think she needs ,
A clothes gift card is good too , she will be growing rapidly and spring is around the corner warmer weather means more new clothes like pretty dresses and shoes .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

                Good suggestions, Oma.
Nana, some people bought my GD at that age hardback books for when she was a little older. One year olds get so much and don't really care what they get, so if you are stuck something like that would be an idea.

I love the ball pool idea Oma. Her older brother can join in as well. Indoor & outdoor play too. Gem I think that the hospital where she was born has the Dolly Parton book scheme...free bks. Dd2 loves bks so there'll never be a shortage of bks in their home.

GD is moving from parents bedroom into her own room. DD has said she likes some pictures ...I can paint those when I feel better. Thanks for your suggestions everyone.xx

Nana, you can also get lovely framed things from Not On The High Street for children's rooms, with their names date of birth etc. We bought one for OH's youngest great nephew's christening. But we bought it unframed, and did it much more cheaply ourselves!!

Thanks Gem. DD asked if she could 'borrow' a few of my LPs to frame to put in there.....she said for sentimental reasons. I apologised saying that no she couldn't as they are too precious to me. Beatles 1st editions etc I just wondered if anyone else would have?

I probably would have but I doubt they would want them!
I have Elton John picture discs, plus a bright yellow Yellow Brick Road album! We had a David Bowie picture disc too, but ex OH got that, as he was more a fan than me.
