Do you tip at Christmas?

Interesting that the most negative comments are all about the bin men. Where did those cheerful chappies go?

I think they're all working round here, Zizi. They do a good job and are cheerful, always say hello when I see them, and I always say thank you to them. I wonder if it's because we don't have wheelie bins? We have black plastic sacks for general rubbish and clear ones for recycling plastic and cardboard, but if you've got too much for the sack and leave it outside they'll take it for you. We have crates for glass. One or two of them come round gathering the two types of bags into separate piles and then the lorry arrives and one or two more people put the bags into the back of the lorry.

I never hardly tip at Xmas not because I’m tight but I never see many folk , the refuse collectors are pretty good here but are here at 7 in the morning and we are not up that early if we can help it, no milk deliveries window cleaner gets a coffee every time he does the window with a drop of brandy if it’s cold, tip the hairderesser or buy her a gift but that’s azll

Just had my Tesco delivery. It had to be a man I’ve not seen before but I still gave him a tip as they all do a great job.If I see one of my usual drivers in the New Year I’ll probably give him a tip then.

We tip the refuge men they do a really good job here they take the bins out from the side garden to save us having to pull them when they are full they then put them back for us,also the paperboy who delivers only on Sat/Sun but such a nice lad he is.We have different Postmen so don't bother there always treat my delivery driver from the pharmacy to some nice choc's or a bottle of vino.
