Daisy I am afraid I agree with you 100% when we had ours we stayed in much longer and had babies taken into the nursery over night, now new mums can be home within hours and they don't rest they are expected to carry on as normal no wonder so much PND is a common factor for these young mums.

Good Morning Ladies, DD and I went to visit mum and new baby last night and even though he is ours and I am just a wee bit biased I must say he is such a beautiful little man he has thick dark hair and has taken after his daddy with the dark Portugese skin not a baby wrinkle in sight.
My GS & GD in law have changed his name from James as she has found out her cousin has a baby of the same name they have gone for their original choice of NOAH it could only happen in my family so I need to spend the morning notifying everyone of a change of name for our little man.

He sounds gorgeous Glamma, and I love the name Noah

(The son of one of my DD's friends was called Antony for 3 weeks. He then became Hayden, which is his name. As he had two slightly older sisters they were very confused that their baby brother's name had changed!)

Gems, It is something of a de-ja-vue really as my youngest son was called Ross when he was first born but when his brother & sister came in to visit with my hubby eldest son looked into the crib and said he looked like a fish finger (Ross Fish fingers were popular) as his hair had a ginger cast like his daddy well you know how sensitive you are after giving birth every time I looked into the crib I saw a fish finger looking back at me so we had to sit down and have a rethink and came up with Benn,I did however get a Ross in the end by way of my DGS4 who is 21 now and a joy.
