Oh Glamm, I'm sure I'd do the same thing! Have a quick look at the writing round the edge first. She's a sensitive little soul if she gets up set by things like that!!

My eldest son rang late last night to tell us they where on there way to the hospital as DILs labour had started only for them to be sent home at 2am and told to come back when further on with contractions,so I now have both my DGD in law and my DIL both in slow labour DILs due date is not until 22nd May so she is a bit early and DGD in law was due last Friday I wondering if either of these precious babies will arrive on 2nd May which is my Johns birthday.

If they both arrive at the hospital together at my DS1 & DGS2 will be able to support each other and I will be a double bag of nerves certainly needing a double measure of vino.

Glam - how exciting! Although I think being sent home to 'get further on' must be a bit demoralising.

Keep the vino at the ready - I think you will be celebrating several times today and tomorrow!

DD1 was sent home when in labour with GS1, but in fact stayed, with SIL, at our house as we live much closer to the hospital. They stayed the night and in the morning her waters broke over our living room carpet

Nothing as yet Daisy my son has gone off to work he is only 10 mins away if DIL needs him its not that he doesn't know the way to the hospital with last night's trial run I asked if she wanted me to sit with her but the offer was refused but I have told her to ring me if she feels frightened, her own mum is away for 3 days out of the Country so its not as if she can get back quickly.
No news either on GD in law my GS has also gone to work but he is 45mins away she is my concern as she may go pretty quickly with this being her 2nd baby but we will be close by if she needs us,luckily enough her dad is a Motorway Police Officer and his patch is not far from their home so we could always call on him if no transport, she couldn't even try and get into my car it is too low down and every chance she would get stuck.
Its getting nearer to Johns birthday by the hour.

Glamm - I've just got back from a theatre trip (not the medical kind!!) and had to check if there was any news.

Oh dear, we Graunties have an anxious time when there's a new little one on the way, but when it's two in the same family, we go into overdrive. I do hope both nearly-mums are ok.

                          Where are they - Clatterbridge?

Well we have lift off with GD in law she went in at 6.30am this morning and as I type she is on gas & air so she won't be long and yes John will have his special birthday present after all.
Daisy they are both booked in at Arrow Park Womens GD in law for 24hrs and DIL for 3 days as she is an older mother for a first time baby and they want to keep a check on her.

Glamm - great new that GD in law is giving OH a very special birthday present. I hope DIL won't be far behind.

It's good to hear that DIL will get a bit of rest after her delivery. I feel sorry for new mums who get discharged a few hours after giving birth. They don't get any chance to recover.
