    I'm Home Again ladies.

Just to let you know I am now back home after our week away in Majorca we had a fab time just very relaxed for most of the time,we did venture out on local transport to the Capitol Palma City just in time to walk into a massive
demonstration of Spanish people demonstrating against what is going on in Catalonia there must have been thousands of people but it was all trouble free.We went to the Catherdrel and saw the swan in the lake at the bottom of the Carhedreal steps then on up the to negotiate a price for a horse and trap ride of the city but we where out bid on all the quotes by Americans who where on a City tour with their guide from the Disney Cruise Liner,a ship of such an enormous size it was unbelievable.
I will never use the Company we went with again as they made a right hash of providing boarding passes and mixed up the transport and of course we had to be with Ryan Air didb't we so we spent all Tuesday/Wednesday wondering if we where flying or not,not to mention the sardine type seats we where allocated at totally different areas in the plane, and guess who got sat next to two 16yrs old twins who where the most objectional kids I have ever
    known,
Apart from that I have come back well tanned and rested and scanning the holiday brouchures for our next holiday.
    Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

    Welcome back Glamma

It sounds a lovely holiday, apart from the transport problems.
Holiday brochures for the next one are a very good idea

Welcome home Glam , we were in port with the American Disney ship once , the Americans have more money than manners on these cruises and can be quite aggressive if they want to be first .

Welcome home Glamma, pleased you had a good time.

We have been in port as well when Disney ships have been there, they are massive.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

In Barbados if you go into Bridgetown it is often full of cruise ship people and most of them American. The taxi drivers just chase them and if you look un-Bajan they automatically assume you have pockets full of cash and constantly bother you. Sometime they pester you so much you have to be a bit rude. Sounds a bit like the Disney Cruise people. Why is it Disney Cruise do they have a sort of mini Disney Land on the ship?

Gems,we have got the brochures for next year via Jet2 but we are governed by school exams for both of them unfortunatley so can only go from mid July which will be a big increase in prices if we decide to go,the difference in price is nearly £200 each which is scandalous but they have you don't they if you can only travel then we will have to wait and see what happens.

It's really bad that they charge so much more for the same service in school holidays Glamma.
We avoid school hols when it is just us, but if we go with family, now 2 of the 3 grandchildren are school age, we are governed by them - and the extra cost!

Glamm - welcome home. I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday, despite all the adventures.

I still haven't got over the luxury of being able to go on holiday during term time - after so many years in teaching! I didn't mind when our DSs were school age, but having grown up children and still needing school holiday holidays was quite annoying. But then I thought that if I wasn't working we wouldn't have been able to afford to go further than the bottom of our garden!
