    We're off!

After a very busy couple of months, we've finally made time to have a week in the caravan. Not wanting to spend hours on the roads we're returning to a site we visited in the Spring. We had really awful weather then, but liked the site and are hoping for at least some sunshine this time. Keep your fingers crossed for us from Sunday onwards, please!

We're staying near Chesil Beach, which I'm sure some of you know, but if not this is it:

Chesil Beach is one of the natural wonders of the world. This massive shingle bank or tombolo is part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, but more than that, it is a fantastically beautiful place. Formed by long shore drift this 18 mile long beach stre

We're not sure how Eva will feel about the roar of the waves on the pebble beach, but there are plenty of lovely places to visit away from Chesil, and we're really looking for a quiet week, with lots of sitting admiring views, relaxing and doing nothing much. There is even a pub on the camp site so we can eat there, and may be have a glass of wine or two.

It looks fab! Keeping fingers crossed that you are as lucky with the weather as we were in Northumberland last week!

Aggie - it really is idyllic - and very interesting, too. Also the whole area is relatively unspoilt - and in places like Lyme Regis you feel you're stepping back in time to the 1950s!

Thank you ladies. I should be able to keep in touch via my i-Pad, so I can keep my beady eye on you all and see the ladies going to Birmingham don't get up to any plots and tricks!!!
