    Short breaks

Thinking of Oma and Mr Oma's much needed overnight break for their anniversary last night.
These breaks, even one night-ers do us good and take us out of our daily routine. Two nights is better, but one is certainly worth doing, and you feel better for it
Before I met OH, it was something my ex and I , with or without the children had done regularly. OH didn't so this was a new concept to her!
We don't do it often enough, but when we do I love it.

My 3 daughters and I have a one night stay in a nice hotel with spa coming up in June. A lovely girls time after my months of surgery and treatment. I am looking forward to it so much.
Last week I purchased a deal from Living Social. Two nights in a 5 star small hotel in Haworth with breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco, for a really good price!! Haworth has been on our list to visit each summer for the last few years so now we will be staying there
Last summer we had two nights in Stratford with two of our best friends. I hope we can go somewhere with them this year. We are eating with them tomorrow night so will discuss it!

I'm not sure we will run to another holiday this year, as Florida was expensive, and OH has her golf trip to Portugal in June, so I need some weekends to keep me going through the year!!!

    Do you like weekends away?

Gem, when we go away for a short break, we usually go for 2 nights.
Haworth is lovely, been twice. Once for the day and once for an overnight stay.
Spent many a short break in York as well.
    We like Lincoln as well.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

If we didn't need to go to the Hospital today we would have stayed 2 nights , would have loved to explore the beautiful grounds and played crazy golf 😊

We love going away for short breaks, usually a couple of nights. We've had some really good deals on Living Social too, Gem, but sometimes we stay in a Premier Inn and have been happy with them too. We are planning to visit friends in Devon in the summer and there is a brand new PI right on the front in Exmouth, so will try that I think.

Enfys, we are big Premier Inn fans! You can't fault them and they are a great way to get a cheap break.

I have been very pleased with the Premier Inns we have stayed in.

I like having short breaks, but it's hard to tear OH away from his routine. That's partly why we got the caravan - and there's the advantage that we can take Eva as well. Even though it's not 5* service, it's very relaxing. So far we've only done 3 night breaks, but now we've changed the dog training day we can do 4 nights without interfering with GD care.

There is a very good site on the Longleat Estate, you have access to the grounds when every else has gone home, you can hear the lions roaring. Another good Caravan Club site is just outside Malvern at Hanley Swan. We only ever stayed on CC sites.
