    Elvis holiday (help needed!)

My hairdresser is wanting to take her mum to Graceland and generally do an Elvis type holiday.
She knows I research and book all our holidays online and enjoy doing it. So, she has asked me not to book, but to research for her. I have kept putting it off and she comes to cut our hair on Friday so I must have something for her, as I had nothing when she came 6 weeks ago!
I am as disinterested as could be in this as I am not an Elvis fan, and have no desire to visit the deep south.
I have started looking but have no idea of her budget etc, so it's not easy! I'm also unsure whether they want an organised package or just flights, hotel and Graceland admission.
I can and will continue looking and printing some stuff off. My request to you is have any of you been on this type of holiday, and if so can you give me any pointers?
    Thanks!

Sorry can't help. Hope you can find some info on the Internet. I don't even know anyone who has been to Graceland. Good luck.

Flights are flippin' expensive and you can't fly direct, I could think of better ways to spend my money
But then it's not my money!

I know one or two people who've been to Graceland, but not recently. I think they went as part of a package. I remember one person telling me, yes, it was cheesy, but somehow very moving as well.

But you could play this for your hairdresser, from me, saying I hope she has a fabulous time.

            Thanks Daisy, and everyone.

I have priced flights, Graceland entry, and hotels separately, and a package. Given that they are not experienced travellers I think they will go for the package (Hairdresser, L, thinks London is a very adventurous trip)
Not a lot more I can do until I know definite dates and the budget. They may decide not to go when they see the prices, but I will find out on Friday!

Gems the people I know who have been there have gone via a tour package spending 2/3 days at Gracelands,it includes a visit to Sun Studios where he recorded his first record Thats alright Momma its also not something that would enthuse me much but apparently the queues never seem to get less as the years go by according to one friend who goes every 4/5 yrs (must have more money than sense)

Glamma, I can't see the attraction either, but am fully aware that many others would totally not understand the money and time I would spend on Orlando

Our DD enjoyed it but wouldn't go back she said , Apparently its not as great as people think but as I said that was 1998 so the attractions may be better ,I suppose for fanatical fans its like a pilgrimage isn't it

Yes can fully understand the fans that go,but its not as if there are going to be any changes is there it will always stay the same and once you have seen it you've seen it,not like Orlando or my favourite Las Vegas where there are new attractions being opened every year,we are planning LV again next year but on our own this time so we have no arranging our time scheduals for us,we can slop about or be as glammed up as we please.

                          Thanks for the input ladies
Our hairdresser was pleased with the info I gave her. She is going to talk it over with her mum and partner. I told her I am happy to help if they decide on it. I think the fact that there are no direct flights may put them off, but we shall see.

The footnote to this is, having had a week in Spain with her mum and daughter, hairdresser is rethinking this whole Elvis thing as her mum drove her mad on this holiday!!!
