Aww, thanks Daisy! Somewhere to write about my holiday
I will use it!
It is just after 6 am on Friday, our second full day. Just having a morning cuppa, then breakfast and off to Epcot. We have 3 Disney fastpasses booked ( to get on rides quicker, bypassing the longest queues) The last of those is between 4 and 5, so I imagine we will leave the park after that. We will be back in the that park again next week and that time we will stay until closing, and see the fireworks.
Travelling was long, but fine. We stayed overnight at the Raddison, which is connected to the aiport, so just strolled over to the terminal in the morning and had breakfast at Frankie and Bennys. I managed to watch 4 films on the flight! Sully, The BFG, Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children and Bridget Jones Baby. I enjoyed them all, but Sully was particularly good.
Yesterday we went to the Universal Islands of Adventure park. Arriving was manic, as there were lots of groups of American Spring Break teenagers going in. Once in the park however we hardly noticed as they were all dispersed and mostly head for the big rollercoasters, which we are not interested in. It got very hot, and as it was our first day we left mid afternoon, to relax and cool down at the villa.
We ariived back to see bags of rubbish strewn over our drive. We had put the bin and recycling boxes out as instructed. For some reason the garbage men dropped all that stuff on our drive. Not impressed!

We had a great day at Epcot We did lots of rides, plenty of sit downs in the shade, and chance to see all the beautiful displays in the Epcot flower festival.
We left home at 9 and didn't get home until after 7, so we are tired! My feet ache so much! I have just had a bath, which helped. Another theme park day tomorrow, Magic Kingdom, then on Sunday a day of rest!!

Gem - I love Epcot - it's one of my favourites, but it always seems to be a long day. It gets to the stage when an attraction gains in attractiveness because you can sit down on it!
You'll be more than ready for your day of rest on Sunday.

The clocks have gone forward here so there is only 4 hours time difference at the moment .
Today Is a ( much needed) rest day.
My knees are painful, my back aches and the heat has been intense.
This old body needs downtime.
Today was planned as the rest day all along. The main aim was pool time, but thunderstorms are forecast Not one drop of rain so far, today rain and thunder are due!.
A down day is good nevertheless. We have 3 TVs , air hockey and another game in the garage, not to mention Kindles and internet, so we won't be bored
Yesterday was Magic Kingdom day. I love it there, it is lots of fun. We have noticed that the parks are a lot busier now, and this one with it's 'lands' arranged around the castle feels very crowded. The new prebooked fastpass system has made things worse too, anyone going back after several years will notice a big change, we did after only 7 years.
We still enjoyed our day though, we had lots of fun. We took our lunch with us, as we had to Epcot the previous day. We found a nice quiet shady spot to eat. We left the park around 6, too tired to want to go home, and out again to eat as planned, so picked up something on the way back, and put our feet up with beer and wine after our meal!
Hollywood Studios tommorow, so we shall be revived again by then
It is a bit like driving through a Disney film when we drive to and from our villa. Little rabbits running out and squirrels scampering up trees. OH rescued a liitle lizard thing which had been wandering around our pool enclosure for a couple of days. Don't know how he got in, but he didn't seem able to get out. She caught him in a tuppeware container and set him free outside on the grass!
The weather is set to cool down over the next 2 or 3 days, which I will be glad of, as it will be more manageable for walking around the parks.
