Booking a new cruise on Tuesday ....

Next year I am going to be 60! So, we have decided to go back to Star Clippers , this time on Royal Clipper we shall be sailing Rome to Venice , calling at Pontine Islands, Sorrento, Taormina Sicily, Corfu, Kotor Montenegro, Dubrovnik Croatia, Havr Croatia, Piran Slovenia and then Venice. They are holding me a cabin and I am off to the agent on Tuesday to pay my deposit. We think we will fly into Rome early and have a few days there - any idea how many we should allow. Also will add on a day in Venice (I think a day will probably be enought?) Here is a picture of her, doesn't she look magnificent!

She is, and sleeps only 227 guests with 106 crew. She has 42 sails, and they sail (as opposed to using the engine) whenever they can. Unfortunately they are quite expensive so we don't go with them very often!!

Avo - how wonderful. It looks like a dream cruise in a beautiful ship. I hope you don't have to do a stint in the Crowsnest though -even if the view is fabulous.

Wow how exciting Avo, I have just taken the virtual tour thanks to Daisy and am very impressed even though cruising is not my ideal holiday it takes me all my time to travel to Liverpool on the ferry which is a 15min trip.

All booked for the cruise, will start researching where to stay in Rome pre-cruise and Venice post-cruise.... nice to have something to look forward to.
