I am packed up, including all required chargers etc. We have checked ourselves in and put a small bag of items for tonight/in the morning to one side (bath/shower stuff, clean Knicks etc.) which we will stuff in the suitcase in the morning. Really looking forward to leaving these grey skies. On Sunday 13th March before we leave to come home we will sing happy birthday to ................. Husband's knees! They will be three years old!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

We are now in the hotel, it is lovely and the staff are terrific. Our meet and greet car person was late and the doorman insisted that we go and check in and he would phone us when the chap came. Concierge brought our bags up, an impressive 17 and 19 kgs respectively although we do have another bag with overnight stuff in weighing 2kgs all of which will be stuffed in the cases in the morning - wash kits, change of knickers/tee shirt etc. We will have to be up at 4.30am EEK! Dinner tonight in a lovely bright airy place. We will treat ourself to a bottle of wine, husband said so. Looking forward to going to the warm. Husband the twit has not brought a jacket with him.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Daisy yes three years, isn't it fabulous that now he can do everything, he cannot run very fast but then to be fair he never could. He couldn't kneel for quite a while but we were talking yesterday and he said that a few weeks ago something went wrong in one of the classrooms he was training students in and he got under the desk to get to the IT points and was surprised that he had no pain whatsoever. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

OK well I know I have been AWOL for a few days. Holiday started a bit yuk apart from the lovely Sofitel at Gatwi k. Husband insisted he knew the gate to go to, fifteen minutes later we were told the queue we were in was for Albania! Rush to correct gate some walk away to find that the the doors from the waiting area to the jetty were stuck and the crew could not enter. Fifteen minutes later crew got on board, then passengers. Just about to push off when someone decided they wanted to get off and so we sat on the ground for over an hour while the handlers frond their baggage by which time we had missed the flight slot so had to waits further half an hour for another. Started to feel a bit queasy about forty minutes before landing but kept quiet about it. Landed to a windy, chilly, overcast Tenerife.
Checked in went to the restaurant, not impressed. I am not a big fan of all inclusive at all and this place has not changed my mind. I have never bento one where they so visibly treat AI customers differently to others. Apartment is OK but supposed to have a fully functioning kitchen. Well it has a fridge Nd a full cooker but no space for storing food and the bare minimum of crockery, cutlery and cook ware. Sitting room is nice with a dining table, bathroom is OK but it has individual water heating and so you get barely a four minute shower and a bath is out of the question. Bedroom again OK but so small that the door does not close because it is wedged open between the bed and the wardrobe!
Food in restaurant is not what I would expect. All in all not a great start. Better news in next post later on.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
