I have spoken to our doctor and also our newsagent, both from India, and they have made some great suggestions of other places nearby worth visiting.
This is getting better by the minute.😄👳🏽😄

GM - Ten days certainly isn't going to be enough! It sounds really exciting, and I bet Tuesday can't come soon enough. We'll need to have a day-by-day description of everything you see and do.
Zizi - I'm shocked by the price of taxis around your way. We pay £100 from down here on the south coast to Gatwick, and it's always a comfortable people carrier type car with lots of space for luggage etc. I hope you're all packed and ready to go tomorrow. Have a wonderful time - and we need lots of photos from you as well.
Gem - nice feeling that everything is organised.
Plant - while the family are exhusting themselves on the beach/sea, you can relax with a cool drink and enjoy the fabulous views.
Yes, I think Eva would love any holiday - especially where she gets to have plenty of walks. We haven't taken her to the beach yet - but must do that soon! Everytime we've planned a walk on the beach the weather's been atrocious.

Yes Daisy, there is a very nice beach cafe overlooking the beach with lovely comfortable furniture, I can wave to therm from there, trouble is they come and join me and it goes on my bill.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
This year we have decided to See more of our own country so have 4 mini breaks planned. We are of to the Derbyshire area in 3 weeks ( it's an antiques weekend and we get to meet Charles Hanson off the telly ). Then later on we are going to Yorkshire, Oxford and have just booked a few days away in Kent with our friends.

Enfys - that sounds like 4 good trips. I'm quite shocked when I realise how many wonderful places there are in the UK that I've never visited - Yorik and Oxford being 2 of them! Coming from North Staffordshire, we often used to go to Derbyshire for days out etc, and it was lovely.

I love Northumberland and the lake district, neither are too far from me. Yorkshire, where I live has a lot of beauty of course.
Although my daughter lived in Scotland for several years, I only know the places she lived - Edinburgh and Glasgow. I know Scotland, especially the West coast is beautiful, and we should explore it more.
I visited Stratford on Avon for the first time last year and loved it. We both fancy going to Bath, but haven't made it there yet.
