Thanks Elisi. I'll have a look. We're looking for a self catering holiday in UK April/May time & there's nothing decent under £300+. Anything under that are like tin shacks.

I do know Nana, we've made a few mistakes ourselves during the many years of self catering we have enjoyed. UK are especially pricey, although, if you add the airfares to the European Lets, it comes to about the same as one in this country. Or should I have said, you might as well fly away or take the Eurostar, or the cost of a UK country cottage, and our weather is not exactly stable!

This is lovely. Not cheap, but really worth the extra. They have cottages for 2 people, right up to one for 10. Lovely peaceful setting with a lake and woods right there. The beautiful Northumberland coast close by.

They look lovely cottages, Gem, but don't take dogs. But it's a part of the country I've never visited and would love to. We'll have to wait until we can get more than 4 or 5 days holiday to explore properly though.
