    Exciting!

My 3 DDs and I have been talking about a night away at some point. We have done it a couple of times, but not since the children came along.

Today DD1 had a wonderful idea. Instead of buying each other Christmas presents, the 4 of us will pay for each other, kind of thing, and have a night away at a hotel with spa. I think it is a lovely idea. I would much prefer this to any present
I will of course get each a liitle something to open on the day.
DD2 wants us to go sooner rather than later, bearing in mind how much of her first pregnancy she spent in hospital. We all hope this won't be the case this time but it makes sense not to tempt fate! We hope to go in January. A month I hate, so this will be perfect!

    What a brilliant idea, Gem.

I had lunch with a couple of friends from College yesterday and we were saying that really we don't want presents any more. We're more interested in decluttering our homes and lives than adding to them, and while I appreciate the thought and love that has gone into the presents I get from the family, I would really rather they spent the money on the children, or put it towards a family treat.

I often end up with numerous (very nice and luxurious) toiletries etc which I can't use and I never know what to do with them.

Brilliant idea Gem. I think you're right Daisy. There's nothing I need & like yourself am trying to declutter. Still love the season tho.🎄🎄🎄⛄

Great idea Gem, sounds lovely. We're the same here, I've told DD no gifts for us but she still buys a little something. We all go out for a meal together as our treat, really enjoy doing that.

That would be a lovely day Gem . I have told mine I don't want gifts but if they must get me something get me a voucher for clothes or Boots the chemists that way I can get what I know I can use , my DD always gets me lovely gifts for the house or jewellery but to be honest I don't need anymore stuff to put in house and there is only so much jewellery I can wear , D'S never knows what to buy so I told him not to bother at all and I know he will listen to me as it's one more thing he doesn't have to bother with 😀
