Having stopped overnight, GD and I arrived in St.Just about lunchtime and met up with DS, DIL, 2 GS, Gs friend. DIL's brother. A very good friend is here with his two children, others are expected next weekend. GD and I are in a separate house nearby. My DD and eldest GS and his partner should by now arrived in ST. Ives. My SIL was unable to come today as his father is very ill and not expected to be with them for long, he has been suffering with cancer for about a month . He would have been 90 in December. Waiting to hear from DD with the latest news. Going to a local pub with family this evening, they have live music which is great. Sunshine at the moment, fingers crossed.

Lovely to hear from you, have a great time
Very sad and bad timing for your SIL. My OH had to go alone to a long looked forward to wedding in London a few years ago, as my dad was too close to the end for me leave.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

We have had a gorgeous day, family had a beach day. SIL travelled down today, no change in his fathers condition. SIL is one of six children so I am sure they would encourage him to go on holiday. Going to St Ives tomorrow on the open top bus, some of our party are going mackerel fishing and make contact with my daughter and family who are staying there. This cottage is very comfortable, GD has just made us a G&TWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

My GD has a bad throat infection, fortunately it started when we moved to a hotel near where her parents are staying, we have popped over for a couple of nights staying in an hotel near to them. My DD and SIL took her to the doctors and they have prescribed antibiotics, I am so pleased if it had to happen that we are here. We are booked into a lovely hotel for two nights but GD has stayed with her mum and dad in their flat, she wanted her mum. I now have a twin room with a lovely sea view to myself, I have booked an extra night as she will not be well enough tomorrow to drive back to St.Just. We are hoping she will be a bit better tomorrow. I do not think we have ever visited Cornwall without visiting a doctors or hospital. Off to have my lonely mealWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
