Aww, Gem, I can understand how you feel. We had planned lots of holidays for this summer, but with all my hospital appointments have only managed one week with the GDs. That was great, but we had hoped for so much more after last year. So, fingers crossed for next year.

My DIL1's Mum, step-dad and step mother are due home today after a week in the Canaries. I think it's been nice weather. I do hope you can get away on a sunshine break soon. xxx

I hope you get more holidays next year too Daisy!

I know I should be grateful and glad that we had a holiday, and I really am, but we cant help but wish can we?!

We enjoyed the rest of the week. We had two more swims, a short coastal walk, more beach time, and nice lunch and dinner out on the last day. We left via Alnmouth then on to meet the Oma's for lunch. That finished our holiday off very nicely

The cats were were well cared for and all was well at home.

We did however leave Scrabble and Rummikub behind! We didn't notice them when we left as they had been put on the seat of one of the dining chairs at the back of the table. I'm not saying who put them there, but it wasn't me

There is a £15 postage charge for any left behind items . We remembered that our neighbours are going to Northumberland soon. They have kindly agreed to collect our games, and the cottage owners will keep them safe.
We will miss playing Rummikub for the next couple of weeks!
