    Holiday booked

We had hoped to have several holidays this year, but it was not to be. But a priority for us is to take our two GDs away. We usually go in our caravan and they love it. But this year, not sure of how well I am from day to day we decided to book a static caravan or lodge for an easier journey and no work of putting it up and taking it down again.

We've booked a week in a large static van in North Wales. GD2 has been saying she wanted to visit Wales for over 2 years - I hope she's not disappointed! We were undecided between north or south - south is closer, but we know north Wales well (OH grew up there, we lived there when we were first married and have spent a lot of time there over the years). We're sure there will be plenty to keep them occupied and they're both already excited. We leave a week on Saturday, so I need to start thinking about packing, food etc. I'm so looking forward to it. I have a hospital appointment the day before we leave, so hopefully a day which will be mainly travelling won't be too bad.

I'm so pleased to hear you have this booked Daisy. Something for you all to look forward to.

Very good idea to go for the static and avoid some of the work.

DIL2 sent me a photo of the girls when DS2 was showing them the photos and telling them about the holiday. She said GD2 was all but bouncing off the ceiling, she was so excited. Nanto, I'm not sure about rest and relaxation, but the girls are very easy to please and good at entertaining themselves if need be.

Well done the girls will love it and you can relax knowing you don't have the hassle of setting your caravan up,
Plus in a static if you are feeling a bit off you have a separate bedroom where you can go and relax quietly.
The break will do you good , a change of scenery is always good,
Will Eva be going or is she staying with DS?

Lizzie, yes, we want to make it as easy as possible, and have the maximum fun.

Oma, we're not taking Eva with us. She'll be more than happy staying with DS2 and playing with Cooper. I'm quietly hoping we can get another similar break in September for OH, me and Eva.
