    Holiday 2025 booked !

Yesterday we booked a holiday - for next June!

We are both 70 this summer. When we were both 60 we paid for both a big villa in Majorca for the whole family and a lovely house in Northumberland for us and 8 friends.
This time we are not doing any of that, but neither did we want a party.

We are going to Majorca in September this year, but wanted to do something else
In the end it wouldn't work having it this year, so we are extending our big birthday celebrations

We are going on a 9 day Western Canada tour including 2 days on the Rocky Mountaineer train.
We have been to Eastern Canada, and of course Nova Scotia when DD and SIL3 lived there. We have never visited this side but know it is very beautiful.
Oma, I know your DD loves that area.

Is that where you were in Canada Lizzie?

Gem, what a fabulous holiday to look forward to. I've been to Vancouver, which is amazing, but would love to do the train trip. My mother and aunty did it in the Fall, many years ago, of course, and said it was totally unforgettable. What a great way to celebrate your joint Big Birthdays.

Lizzie, where were you in British Columbia?

Daisy, it was 20 years ago this June, travelled through Alaska, Anchorage to Chicken, crossed the border there into the Yukon , travelled down through the Yukon into British Columbia, then crossing the border at Beaver Creek to travel back to Anchorage and home! We travelled 3500km in four weeks, the holiday I have never forgotten!

Gem DD also loved Banff National park and Jasper,
She named two of her cats after them 😁

You will love it and something nice to look forward too xx

Lizzie, what an unforgettable trip that must have been.

Oma, I wonder if the cats realise how honoured they were.
