    Extended family holiday!

11 of us, ages ranging from 12 months to 69 years went on a week's holiday together. We stayed on the Algarve at Praia da Luz in a 5 bedroom 5 bathroomed villa, with private pool.
    We had a lovely time

We barbecued at the villa a couple of nights , had a simple pasta meal one night, ate out twice and ordered takeaways one night.
You need a lot of shopping for that many people!
We use Tricount, which I will make thread about.

The villa was spacious with air conditioning and there were 3 outdoor areas (Lower poolside, mid terrace with big table and barbecue, and rooftop terrace) So plenty of room to spread out.
The pool of course was the main attraction for everyone. There were many inflatable toys and a lilo, and sunloungers and chairs for everyone..

We had a beach trip and looked at market stalls, and DD1 and SIL2 took the older boys to the zoo one morning. I think we all wanted to relax and recharge on this holiday so were happy to be mainly villa based, especially on a holiday of only one week.

Baby was a pleasure to be with all week, including both flights. He delighted us all. He loved being with his cousins. He especially loves being with his 7 year old cousin, he was so good with him.

The children all got along well. GS1 seemed to need large amounts of alone time each day which was a bit disappointing for GS2 who was longing to play with him. DD2, GD and I played 'Guess what animal I am?' in the pool with him several times

I will write more about GD specifically in YEO, but all was good.

I feel very fortunate to have shared this time with my family, especially GS3's first holiday.

Sounds like everyone enjoyed the holiday.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

How lovely. We’re just coming to the end of two weeks in Mallorca with DS DiL and the two boys. Sometimes we did our own thing and sometimes we did things together. And meals out all together were a real treat.
Only blot was DiL suffering a very painful cracked rib sliding down a scary slide at the water park. At least it was the penultimate day and not at the beginning.

        Oh poor DIL Sum1
Yours sounds a lovely holiday too. OH and I love sea swimming in Majorca but were not brave enough for the Atlantic!

Gem, what a lovely family holiday. Perfect for you all.

Sum1, I've seen some of your photos on FB but not all of them, as we've been away and had no wifi. You are very good at finding interesting information about the places you visit which adds great interest to your photos. I hope DIL's rib heals quickly, poor lady.
