Will you be off to the pub this weekend?

Pubs and restaurants open from tomorrow in England, with restrictions.

It will be some time before we, or anyone else I have spoken to will be venturing into any.
I have missed eating out, but I don't feel ready for that yet.

We are going to the garden centre tomorrow.
They have a lovely cafe where we have had dinner many times.
If we can get in,we plan on eating there, otherwise there is a place down the road that do lovely takeaways.
Either way, i won't be cooking.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

No. We hardly ever eat out anyway, so it's unlikely we'll be gadding about this week-end.

I’m a bit concerned as GD is going back to her waitressing job at the local pub. Today she had to go for an induction day to get familiar with the new procedures etc. Diners will be asked to stack their own plates so waitresses won’t have to lean across people to collect them. Masks are optional for waiting staff and I really hope GD will wear one ,though I doubt it if others don’t

Like Daisy we don’t often eat out. We don’t go to pubs often either.

Clover - I'm sure your GD will be careful - she sounds like a very mature and sensible girl.

Grauntie - we're too busy knitting and painting, aren't we!

I have really missed eating out with friends during the lockdown, but not enough to return any time soon. I value my health too much.

Normally, I call for a lunch at my favourite cafe after aqua, I sometimes have lunch in Waitrose and quite often I go out to lunch on a Sat. to our favourite pub with Sil, DD and his mother. Will not be doing that for some time.
I suppose I find it nicer to have lunch out rather than returning to an empty house.

Clover, my daughter works in our local pub on a Saturday lunchtime only to boost her income from her full time job and they had to go in for an induction meeting on Friday tea-time only 35 people will be allowed in maximum and then it is only table service I worry about her if people drink too much and become a problem,I certainly will not be going anywhere soon.
