A holiday booked!

Friends invited us to go away with them for a few day In August. It's in Yorkshire, in pods. We have no idea what the social distancing rules will be by then of course. However, we will have a pod for each couple, and can easily distance while we are there. Nice having something to look forward to, with our family holiday and OH's golf holiday gone. I don't think we would fly this summer even if allowed to be honest, so this will be be a nice little break.

Anyone else planning a break?

Gem - what a lovely idea. The pods sound perfect for the current situation, and hopefully things will get easier not more restricted.

I think if good caravan sites re-open we would at least get a few days away - but there's no sign of this at the moment. We'll have to wait and see, and then I expect there'll be a stampede of people wanting to go, which would probably put us off.

No, my holiday with the National Trust group has been cancelled, it was in July.

Gems they look amazing I have seen some similar on four in a bed is beakfast profided or does it come in a separately provided basket for each pod. xx

My Brother and niece used to go for a week every year with the grandson , they really loved them , I wonder if she and GNephew will go this year or next without my brother

Glamma, I am presuming it is self catering as it would be in a flat or cottage, but I'm not sure. Our friends booked it.

I had some brochures from a coach travel firm we have used in the past .
They are GB Travel and they were offering holidays for 2021 but I didn't take too much of a look at it as we don't feel very confident yet that things will improve any time soon . Some of the holidays were for just after Christmas.

Mimi - New Year sounds a bit chilly for touring holidays, doesn't it. I know the tour operators must be desperate to get holidays booked up, but I'm sure there will still be plenty of choice later.
