    Not a happy bunny!

    To say I'm not a happy bunny is a bit of an understatement! Just had an e-mail from our travel company to advise us that BA is planning to strike on the day we're booked to travel to Jordan! Hopefully they'll be able to get us on another airline on the day, but otherwise I expect it'll be back to the drawing board. Grrrrrr!

    On a happier note, Ryanair aren't planning any strikes for the foreseeable future, so DS will be with us at some unearthly hour on Wednesday morning!
    Believe you can and you're halfway there.

      WeeGranny - that is infuriating, but do check that the email wasn't sent in error. I caught a snippet of news saying BA had sent out hundreds of cancellation emails by mistake!! How on earth they can do that I don't know, but hopefully yours is one of the mistakes and your flight will be ok.

        It seems that the strikes are on 9, 10 and 27 September (not sure which days you're due to travel, WeeGranny. Cancellations for other dates were sent in error ;

        Customers say they are unable to get in touch with BA, as the airline says it is fielding 40,000 calls.

        I hope that means you will be ok, although I know you'll check anyway.

          I have been hearing about this on the radio WG. I'm sorry you have been affected by it. I hope you may be one of the emails sent in error!

            Sadly not a mistake! Hopefully Trailfinders can come up with a solution.

                    WeeGranny - I was so hoping it was a mistake. I hope all the people who have caused this strike and chaos are truly proud of themselves for wrecking holidays and travel plans for so many.

                    Thank goodness your DS isn't affected. Good luck with finding an alternative flight. xx

                      How annoying Wee Granny, do hope theres a resolution and you get a flight. We have a similar dilemma with Ryanair and there strikes, we are away October and hoping the strikes are over by then.

                          Libra, Ryanair managed to cope with this last round of strikes by bringing in pilots from all over Europe. Ryanair only fly one type of plane so they can do that....BA can't! Still a worry though not knowing if your flight is going to be affected. FIngers crossed x

                            No news yet, then, WeeGranny? It's awful not knowing.

                              Phone call this morning to say that flight hasn't been cancelled......yet! However, they can get us on another carrier, only problem is it'll cost about another £800 each! So we now play the waiting game to see if the strike takes place on 27th or not!
