    The Time Flew By.

The week went far too quickly for me but we thougherly enjoyed our time away.
We had concerns when we first arrived as the room we where allocated although a beautiful laid out room it had the balcony looking onto a tennis court which had not been upgraded when the Hotel was reopened 2 months ago,it was dark and dismal so Glamm instructed DD to stay put and I went downstairs to get a room change sorted,I had requested a poolside view and an upper floor on booking but the receptionist said there was no record of my request however we got a room on 3rd floor and very nice it was.
Spent a fab day in Palma at The Cathedral we arrived just as a thunderstorm was raging but as luck had it it passed in 10mins.
After our time at The Ctere you have to stuff items in your own bag !!
After a couple of hours we had lunch of a mixed Tapa's plate and a rather large glass of red which went down very well.
We also made ourselves familiar with the local bus service and took a trip to a massive market in Antraix where we bought the biggest strawberries and juicy grapes that I have ever had.
The food was acceptable and even though we where all inclusive we ventured out to Spanish restaurants for a couple of menu del dia.
Every thing went OK when travelling I never got into trouble at security this time I had packed everything correctly in the see through bag I got a pat on the back from DD
Its good to be back and missed OH but he was delighted to be left to his own devices he has decorated the bedroom and very nice it looks he has also smartened up his garden etc enjoyed afternoons with his pals having a pint or two so I don't think he missed us that much.
Getting brochures out now and decide where we will go next we have decided to try somewhere different for our next break any suggestions would be welcome. xx nice to be back ladies.x

So pleased you had a good time.
I'm sure hubby will have missed you.
Have you thought or been to Malta.
We liked it there, although it's quite a few years since we went.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Welcome back Glamma, I love Majorca
Good for you getting the room changed as it wasn't what you booked.
I think getting the brochures out when you get back is a good plan!
We keep considering Malta but not done it yet. I have heard a lot of good things about it.

Qwerty she is such a good kid and my best friend she understands that I am not over fond of late nights etc but she made friends with a girl on her own and they stayed downstairs until late enjoying the drinks and one night they ventured out for a late night flamanco which was put on at one of the Spanish bars not far from the hotel,it was classic flamenco not the type put on for tourists and the dancers where travelling gypsies and they got paid by passing around the cap at the end of the performance she said it was fantastic.

Glamm - what a lovely time you've had. It sounds as though you and your DD will make a regular thing of it! Well done for getting the room changed. Your DD must have been pleased to see genuine flamenco. I'm sure OH did miss you, and I'm sure your fur babies did as well, but they all obviously coped, and you missed the hassle of decorating your bedroom.

Some time ago we went to Menorca at this time of year. It was lovely - enough people around to be interesting, but certainly not crowded. Everywhere was freshly painted ready for the summer season. We went AI, but had a few trips out on the local buses to places of interest. It was relaxed and just what we wanted.
