    Holiday in Norfolk

I didn't think I was going to get a holiday this year, I put my name down for a holiday with the local National Trust group but had to go on the reserve list. I had a phone call yesterday to say there was now a place for me, six of my friends are going too. Not keen on the hotel as it is a Holiday Inn near Norwich Airport but beggars can't be choosers. They have trips arranged every day, hope I can cope. They often go to a Warners which I would prefer as I could opt out if I didn't think I could cope with 5 days of trips out and there is more to do at a Warners and there is the entertainment etc. It isn't until the first week in Sept. Does Wee Granny live near there or is it Cambrisge?

Plant maybe there will be somewhere near hand you could explore at your own pace if you don't want to go on the trip . maybe a small town with a tea room
    Research the surrounding area xx

I have it in mind that I will go on the trips but might find a tea shop to rest in, I have told my friends, who are a bit younger not to feel they have to watch out for me.

Plant, there are some places in Norfolk.
We had many holidays on the Broads when the kids were small.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Plant I think WG lives near Cambridge.

I think your idea is good. Pace yourself and you can always while away some time in coffee shop or tea room if you feel it is too much. I'm sure you will have a lovely time.
Good to have a holiday to look forward to

Plant - I'm sure you will have a lovely time, especially with 6 friends. There will be places you can have a nice quiet rest and a pot of tea, and the beginning of September is often lovely weather. I imagine you will be visiting severl NT properties in the are, and they always have yummy cakes in the cafe.

I'm outside Cambridge Plant, but Norwich isn't too far away. Don't know that area very well I'm afraid, though it is a lovely part of the country. I'm sure you'll enjoy it......no hills like around you!

We are going out every day, not sure about the full day in Norwich, might stay at the hotel that day and have a swim etc. I don't want my friends to feel they need to look after me and I feel a whole day there might be a bit much and a bit too long to sit in a cafe. I could go to the cinema.
