    Ice Trail

We went to the ice Trail in York yesterday. This is always a good day, but cold!
There are interactive sculptures too where people can have a go. The ones with Yorkie bars and coins buried inside were popular with children
Some of you asked for photos. There were 50 sculptures around the city (One year I intend to see all 50!)
    Here is a small sample.
You do not have permission to view this gallery.
    This gallery has 5 photos.

I liked the teapot, celebrating 100 years of Bettys.
But, they are all very good.
We've watched them do ice sculptures when we have been on cruises.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

They are all amazing, Gem. It's a pity it was so cold, but at least the sculptures weren't melting before your eyes.

It (almost) makes me want to visit one of those ice hotels!

I've also seen sculptures made out of butter, but can't remember where. The ice ones are nicer though.

Impressive Gem! Do they judge the sculptures or are they made just for the fun of it?

It's lovely isn't it Mimi? It was in front of a bar/restaurant called The Botanist. Companies sponsor the sculptures and have their name near them, but the work is done by artists of course.

Aggie - that must have been a interesting place to go and visit her.
