    Back from my Hols

Hi Ladies just reporting back after our break to Majorca,we had a fab time and the weather was just right easy to cope with so we where not worn down by the heat one bit.
We have stayed at the same Hotel for the past few years and it is so nice to be remembered by way of being given a penthouse suite over looking the whole of the bay and a complimentary bottle of Champs & bowl of fruit.
We went into Palma City and strolled around the harbour picking out the boats we would buy when we win the lottery and then wandered down the main street and stopped to eat tapa's drink good Rhoija and people watching for a few hours all very enjoyable.
We did the tourist bus around Palma rather than the horse drawn carriage experience as there are a lot of demonstrations going on about the treatment of the horses.
Also met up with a couple who we met last year which was nice, quite a few of the guests where our age so we all had a lot in common.
New game by the Germans is to put towels on chairs and tables now to secure seating around the pool as well as sunloungers .
We had a lovely break but its so nice to be home . xxxx glamma xxxx

Welcome home Glam. Glad to hear you had a good time. Sounds like a few drawing pins under the offending towels on the chairs wouldn’t go amiss.

Welcome back Glamm. It sounds as though you've had a lovely time, and the hotel obviously make you very welcome. At least it's still fairly mild here so not too big a shock.

Naughty Grauntie!!! I can't understand why people try to 'reserve' loungers etc, whatever nationality they are! I can understand people leaving stuff while they, say, get a coffee or an ice cream, but getting up early and then not using 'your' spot for hours seems crazy!

Yes Clover really relaxing the whole time we where there we never had the phone switched on or used the internet,I told the family we where going "no contact" for the week and it really worked.
Youngest son & his wife had a bonus couple of days with their holiday they where in Mexico and their cabin crew went ill for the booked return flight so they got 2 extra days whilst a new crew where flown out to service the flight back they therefore had 2 days extra put up in excutive suite by Tui and 2 x half refunds for the inconvienience of it,luckly they are not due back at work until next week things like that never happen to me

Glamm - we're generally not lucky in random things like this, but I think we used up our whole allocation of luck way back during the 1970s 3-day week. We'd gone out to the Bahamas to see OH's eldest brother and family. Our flight back was cancelled and we were stuck there, in January, for almost two extra weeks! We then also got upgraded to First class for the return flight. This set a Gold Standard for us in holiday luck and we've no chance of ever getting anything like that again!!! But you might get lucky one day!
