    Emmerdale Studios Tour

Has anyone been on the Emmerdale Studios Tour?

    We are going tomorrow

DD2 gave us this as present last year, and we are finally getting round to going. No Tuesday golf for OH this week (most unusual) and no GS for me as he is away on his holidays.

This one is the Leeds studios. You can also go, on a separate trip, to the outdoor sets. We would like to do that as well, on another occasion.

Gem - it sounds fun, and it's always interesting to go behind the scenes. I hope you both enjoy your day out

            It was a fab day.
An interesting tour guide to lead our group, lot of facts and inside information (such as who will play the new Adam Barton) Copies of sets of the beauty parlour, cafe, pub, Dingles and Rhona's cottages to see and go onto, as well as make up studio and the police station. Plenty to see and plenty of opportunities for photos. The tour was over 2 hours, so we got our moneys worth. We had lunch in the cafe afterwards, which was quite expensive, but that it to be expected I suppose. Parking however, in a car park directly over the road is only £2.50 for 4 hours. You would barely get one hour in York for that!

A good day, and we want to go to the outdoor filming village another time.

Gem - it sounds great fun, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do't watch Emmerdale, so wouldn't recognise the sets, but perhaps our Tea Rooms could get some tips from the Cafe - those cakes look good.

It sounds a really good day and always nice when you get value for money ,
I think the cafe's at all tourist places are pricey as you say you expect that but what the hell it's only money 😊
now when you watch you will notice more in the backgrounds as you have been there yourselves xx

Daisy, the cakes even close up, looked yummy and so realistic!

Oma, that's what I said, it's a day out, you pay what you pay! As DD paid for the tickets (£20 each) it was a cheap day anyway

I agree - you could stay home and save every penny, but what's the point in that! The fun day and memories are priceless.

                      Seen the photos on facebook.
                      Pleased you enjoyed it.
It's more interesting when you watch the programme.
I can remember the very first episode of Emmerdale Farm,as it was called then.

Nan2, they talked all about the beginnings of the programme, when it was Emmerdale Farm, and set for a 13 week run! Almost 46 years ago.
It was on at 1.30 I remember and alternated with Crown Court.

I must admit I've never watched Emmerdale, but the set looked lovely and I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves.

DS's friend did all the artwork for Peaky Blinders. Again I've never watched it, but I'm sure if I did I'd be saying Oh, that's E**'s work!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Those cakes look yummy Gems so glad you enjoyed it,my friend has been to the other set and did say that there was not a lot of places to get something to eat apart from crisps and drink so take a packed lunch when you decide to go there.
