My daughter bought me tickets for my birthday to see a show in London. Maybe you can guess which show it was!!! Well of course it was Mamma Mia at the Novello Theatre, Leicester Square. My grandson came with me to see this show, and WOW WOW what a super show it was. I have always loved the film and have watched it so many times, but to see it live on stage was something else. We had fantastic seats, nothing and no-one was blocking our view; the music, singing, lighting just had me smiling and so happy all the way through. I could have happily watched it again. We went to the matinee performance, but the theatre was still packed. On our way out my grandson said "look nan ,there's the actor who played Bill". I said ,don't be daft its just some one sitting having a rest ( he was crouching down outside the theatre -using his phone) . Anyway grandson wasn't convinced, so he went over to him and said he thought he recognised him from the show. He was right. By this time I had walked a little way up the road, but 'Bill' (actor Dugald Bruce-Lockhart) had come with my grandson to meet me. He gave me a hug and kiss on both cheeks, I said what a fabulous show it was etc, then had my photo taken with him. I still can't believe it, what a perfect end to a fabulous day. So once again I thank Karen for buying me the tickets, and Scott for coming with me (we had a great time together). Definitely a birthday gift to remember.

Wow...what a fantastic experience. As you say....what a perfect ending to a perfect day. Like Gem I've seen the film but not the show h it's so uplifting ~ that's if you like Abba of course.😉 I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your day."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I'm with Gem and Nana - I love the film, and the music, and am envious of you seeing the show. Meeting 'Bill' afterwards really was icing on the cake of a perfect day.
My only very slight disappointment of the film was that my favourite Abba song was only used for the rolling credits right at the end!! But it's still an amazing film to lift your spirits and put a smile on your face."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
