    Tesco credit card

I am not a fan of credit cards, I have to say.
I have had a Barclaycard most of my adult life for big things like travel. I could go many months without using it at all.
A year or so ago, on a friends recommendation I took out a Tesco credit card.
I use it for most purchases, and pay off in full every month ,so it costs me nothing.
You get Tesco points every time you use it, and extra points when you spend it at Tesco - in store, online or petrol. Our Tesco points have increased massively since I took out this card .

The good thing about the Tesco credit card is you get Tesco points every time you use it, even if you never shop in Tesco - and extra points when you do shop there. We buy out senior rail cards with Tesco points each year

We only have one credit card between us, but it doesn't get used much at all.
Both of us use our debit cards usually.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We both use our credit card for everything - but pay it off each month. I only use my debit card for Contactless payments. OH gets Tesco points occasionally but they never amount to more than £5 so it's hardly worth it.

You should always keep a check on Tesco's offer for 3 x value on points I have had some good buys when the offer has been on,mainly xmas presents etc and one set of really smart pans for just £7.99 selling at over £80+.

I've got 3 credit cards plus my debit one. Tesco,Sainsbury and John Lewis. I tend to use the Tesco one for household things, Sainsbury's when shopping there and JL for Waitrose& JL and things for myself!
They get paid off in full each month.Debit one is not used very often.

I like when the JL vouchers arrive and usually save them up to spend on something special. We don't get so much on our Tesco card as we did, but again use the points on something we might need, or Railcards!

We have two debit cards each, a Barclaycard each, and a Nationwide Select credit card. I have a Debenhams Credit Card. One debit card is for every day living, the other is for holiday or big purchases as it is linked to our savings account. The Select credit card is only used when we are on holiday abroad as it does not attract spending abroad fees. I pay it off when we get back. The two Barclaycards are used only occasionally as if you don’t use them at all the company will close the account so we will just each use it for one small spend every now and the. and pay it off the next month. Debenhams one is used mostly for buying gifts on line and is automatically paid off when it is due. I get reward vouchers with that one. I used to have a Tesco CC but decided I didn’t need it and closed the account. Because we are close to Tesco I do shop there a lot and currently have £86 in vouchers which I will use when we need something for the house or if one of the GC want something that they stock for their birthday.

Reading all these posts, I think OH and I need to get with the credit card action!

We have a debit card each but like I think it was Daisy we buy everything on credit card as we get cash back each month and we always pay it off each month , we don’t have a Tesco around for at least 5 miles unfortunately
