My single mug cafetiere!

This is something I love and wouldn't be without.
Officially a 2 cup cafetiere, the small cafetieres in fact make one mug of coffee.
I like real coffee, and rarely drink instant. OH prefers tea in the morning and I felt I was wasting coffee by using the filter coffee maker just for me. I use it when I know I will want a couple of cups, and when friends are here for coffee, but otherwise if it is just me wanting coffee I use the small cafetiere.
It saves money as I use only 1 heaped scoop of coffee and it is quick and easy. Plus small and portable enough to take with me to a Premier Inn

I like tea first thing, but come mid-morning a proper cup of coffee sings a siren song to me! After putting up with instant for years (quick and easy) we got a Tassimo and I love it. I'm sure there are cheaper ways of getting a half way decent cup of coffee, but for variety, speed and ease it's great. We save the big filter cum espresso for when we've got visitors.

Friends of ours have a Tassimo Daisy, so we are treated to a cup when we go round.

We have a Nespreso with pods of several varieties , also have 1 Large and 1 Small Cafetiere plus I have a small glass tea pot with the strainer infuser in the middle for tea leaves that I like to make once a day '

I prefer a glass of cold water on a morning then maybe a tea with lunch and a coffee (maybe a latte pod) or instant about 2pm B loves a good ground fresh coffee.

Martin his brother, has a huge all singing all dancing coffee machine the type you need to go on a course to know how to use it , a bit over the top but boy does it do a good latte and B loves the Espresso it makes

I also have a single cup cafetière which I use for my first cup of tea of the day 😀. I have a Lavazza machine for the best cup of coffee at breakfast. I am drinking one now and I would have another but I have been told to cut down. 🙄

I use a Nespreso and buy the little pods when ever they are on offer I do love the different coffee's and chocolate drinks,that is the only thing about not living abroad that I miss as no one can make a good coffee as my friend Juan who ran our local Spanish Bar where we lived it was made extra special when served with a nice Brandy xx

Glamm - that made me smile. Why we can't make good coffee as a matter of course I just don't know! But then I very rarely drink tea abroad - it's just not proper tea is it!

GM - I know several people who have Lavazza machine and swear by them!
