    Quality Street

There haven't been may bargains on Roses and Quality Street this year but Lidl have Quality Street for £4.00 - best I've seen to date.

Don't tell my OH - he can't resist buying tins and tins of them - and then I have to help him eat them!

Thanks Shem. I also noticed them at £4 when doing my Tesco order tonight. My mum buys 6 boxes for various people every Christmas. I should get them for her before they go up again.

We brought a box of Roses Chocolate the other week but now I've noticed that they are on offer again I find myself having to order some more .
Apperently some person/persons must have broken into my property the other day and they have eaten the whole box of chocolates that were stashed away in my hiding place kept especially for Christmas goodies.
Now who on earth could it have been I wonder?

It's tradition that we always buy the Roses,Quality Street,Heroes and Celebrations.Got them in already, but hubby doesn't know.
A couple of years ago, our Quality Street only had 1 of the purple ones in.I didn't complain to Quality Street, but mentioned it to someone on Facebook.
Quality Street must have read it though,as they sent me a £5 voucher.

          Mimi, perhaps it was mice.

I must get some this week as I give them to the DCs in with their house present I also have to get and hide Chocolate Oranges as DSs have always had them in their stockings since they where young along with those bags of Chocolate Coins who would believe boys of 41 & 34 would still expect these little treats every year.

Ladies - this is what happens when you start planning late December celebrations in August. Those mischievous sprites pick up the vibes and invade your homes, eat your goodies and then try to make it look as though your OHs are the culprits!

Brian got quality street and cadburys roses for £5 each a couple of weeks ago. But I expect we have all noticed the container has shrunk considerably over the years.

I would say they are half the size they were!

Definitely noticed the container was smaller and lighter! I picked two up but then put one back hoping I would be less likely to give in to temptation if I only had one. I must look out for roses and celebrations. The price usually shoots up in December.

I have an old Roses tin with 1 Kg marked on the bottom and the one my DD bought the other day weighed 729 grams. Nuff said.

When I was in a local supermarket a worker asked if I'd noticed they were half the size & the same price. Good lad, as I was about to put one in the basket. Time for a rethink.
