Zizi, we get 'told off' for putting the wrong things in boxes too! When we have been on holiday I have to go through our recycling boxes. Our catsitter puts all sorts of things in which are permissible where she lives (40 miles away) but not here!!

We have a hessien woven shopping bag on a hook in the cupboard for recycled bits and a green bin for everyday waste and a grey bin for paper cartons etc the green and grey bins are emptied every other week and recycled every 2 weeks, for clothes which are not good enough for charity shop we have a clothing bank just around the corner so most things go there I must confess I still have to ask what goes in which bin much to OHs annoyance.

We have wheelie bins , a Green bin for normal household stuff, Blue bin for everything recyclable , Brown bin for garden waste that has to be paid for to empty , as we don't have grass etc we had our Brown bin took away , they did start off putting paper & card in a black box but now that all goes in the Blue bin with everything else it all gets sorted at recycle centreIm not fat just 6ft too small

I think the big wheelie bins spoil the look outside of properties to be honest, I bought what I call a "twiggy thing", it isn't actually twigs it is a tree thing that is a fence that goes around two big bins. It cost a flipping fortune. We have to pay for our garden bin to be emptied but downstairs neighbour and us share the cost. I am actually the only one who remembers to out it out!
My downstairs neighbour hers in the front garden which I dont think looks nice but she has dogs so keeps the gate from the main garden to the front bit locked. If I put this place on the market I would have no hesitation in asking her to out them inside her garden. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
