    Shops we like!

After I put a link to The Range on Enfys thread, I thought it would be an idea to have thread where we can recommend shops to others.
Feel free to add your recommendations ladies.

    The Range,
Good for so many things home, pet or garden, including arts and craft supplies for those who are interested. You can check on the website where your nearest store is,

    Dunelm,
Good for bedding and many other things. It has a good fabric department and curtain making service.

DUNELM'S BIG WINTER SALE IS ON! Don't miss out on our discounted home furnishings and save on bedding, curtains, furniture, mattresses & more.

    Home Bargains
Really good bargain shop. They have some amazing deals on branded children's toys sometimes.

The three you have mentioned Qwerty are all stores that I use and really never come out of them without purchasing something or other.
    Rapid Hardware Liverpool.
For every kind of wallpaper you can think of also amazing really big wall art and soft furnishings.
    TJ Hughes Birkenhead Centre
Where I go for all my make-up needs they are so much cheaper for well known brands even though you have to route through a lot of the stock its worth while when you find what you want.
    Quiz on Line.
Dresses and tops in their "curve" section I always find something I love on this site their sale is really worth looking at.

I do use Dunelm and they are just starting to build a large Aldi not far from Tescos, that will hurt them.

I must be the odd one out amongst you......I'm not a keen shopper and tend to buy things only when I really need them and not impulse buy!

Wee Granny - you are not alone! I only shop when I absolutely have to - I hate it!!! But, nevertheless, it's useful to know where to go when you do want something specific. But I seem to remember you live out 'in the sticks' like I do and shopping isn't so easy. Our nearest city is 13 miles away and often a difficult journey!

Thank you for all the suggestions - when WeeGranny and I venture out of our respective wildernesses, we will know where to go for good buys. I have shopped at Dunelm Mill for cushions etc when we last redecorated the living room, and thought the range was very good.

I’m not keen on shopping either. Food shopping is ok so I can make sure of a few treats but I don’t like buying clothes or shoes.

Shem - it can be very frustrating, can't it! I get mesmerised by there being too much choice, and generally come home empty handed!

Ha Daisy, that made me smile. I make fun of OH for calling it Dunelm Mill , which she always does It was called that at one time I think.

I've always known it as Dunelm Mill too Gem!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm happy to go browsing if a shop isn't higgledy piggledy in the layout. Our Dunelm, B&M and some others seem to have things all over the place and can be quite claustrophobic and I can't wait to get out of them! Same with supermarkets, I get uptight if the aisles are narrow with no room to move!

I don't mind food shopping, but hate putting it all away when getting home. I do like Home Bargains for their prices for well known goods. Also like The Range especially at X*** time. I do a lot of clothes shopping on line at Bon Marche, they have really good sales with most prices at half price. I can go into B&M stores "just for a look around" but end up coming out with a bag full of things that I "forgot I needed". I have just had a food delivery from Ocado (have never used them before) but I can highly recommend them, their food is all with good sell by dates ,fresh and the communication is very good. Their food comes from Waitrose, give it a try.

I buy casual trousers from Damart and some from M&S, my smart trousers come from a small ladies shop and they are Gerry Webber. I am a Waitrose and M&S food shopper and we have a large J Lewis a short drive away and I love browsing in there, also they have a good restaurant. We don't have a Range or B&M or Wilko nearby, never heard of Barnitts. A Home Bargains has recently open a short drive away.

Mamma Mia, I had heard Ocado was good, but never tried it.

Plant, Barnitts is a family firm, only in York I think.
