So sad, loved his gentle sense of humour in Last of the summer wine.
We are currently watching the repeats on Gold at the moment. It has a lot of jokes in it we can now relate to now, which we didn't appreciate to back in the 70's when it was first aired on the BBC

A lovely man with a voice you could listen to all day.

He gave gentle pleasure to many people with Last of the Summer Wine, and the brilliant Wallace and Gromit animations.

            RIP, Peter.

I remember him from many years ago in The Diary of Samuel Pepys......very racy at the time! Brilliant actor.
