Very sad. We knew him. He lived in a corner flat across the road from our shop and was a regular customer for us and a couple of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the high street, nobody bothered him. He was not a terribly funny man in real life but I must admit when he returned from hospital after the accident he was terribly damaged physically and probably mentally. I don't think he ever really recovered . He moved from the flat (which was quite old but I went in there once and it was very nice) into a new development by the canal in Brentford (after Brentford had been cleaned up - it wasn't the best place in the world years ago!). RIPIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Very sad. He made a lot of people laugh for many years. Zizi - I remember the reports of that accident he had and it was incredible that he survived at all.
RIP, Gorden"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
