      Such sad news.

2016 has been a terrible year for celebrity deaths, and many far too young

Sadly in some of these cases, this is the legacy of drug misuse in the past. That is even more tragic in a way, as it could have been avoided.

I agree Glam I loved his music along with my then teenage DD. He had heart failure apparently.

I was not a particular fan either but would tap my feet and sing along although I really do not like the obvious Christmas songs (by anyone) because they become like ear worms don't they?

In in the case of George Micheal I don't think he did himself any favours with his lifestyle (as we have been told) when he was younger but then a lot of us probably did things that were not advisable at some point, I know I did but then I was a bit of a naughty girl. Shame he died so young, and shame he died alone but to be honest I don't think it is honourable that it is the headline on the TV news today when there is so much else going on in the world that should come before a rich bloke who sang catchy tunes. He may have given money to charity etc. But chucking money at something is not a commitment. Sorry, grumpy old woman here.........

Well if you are a grumpy old woman then so am I. He led a very depraved life, lewd sexual behaviour and drugs. Sorry he has died but should not be front page news.

Not a fan either and agree with Plant. Can't really judge the man personally as I didn't know him, but often thought his behaviour was a bit on the mucky side! Young though so RIP George Michael.
