I remember seeing him and Jerry Lee Lewis on a tv show in the early/mid 1960s. It started off with motorbikes roaring in to the venue. Very radical at the time. Little did I know that my future OH was playing drums for Jerry Lee Lewis on that very show!

Lizzie - no. He played in a band for a couple of years before getting a 'proper' job in a bank! No, he hasn't played for years, but we are hosting our DS2's drum kit. Perhaps it could be a new lockdown activity for him. Does your DS1 play with a band or group, or just for his own amusement?

Just for his own amusement, had lessons years ago from the drummer of the Golden Earrings, if that says anthing to you! Radar Love was a hit world wide I think.
Lizzie - I haven't heard of Golden Earrings , but it must have been good to have such professional tuition. Your DS1 is lucky to have a sound proof cabin to practise in. I'm sure he sounds great, but neighbours don't always see it the same way.

In the very late 50's (59) ? Little Richard was top of the bill at The Empire in Liverpool and one of the supporting acts was The Quarrymen later to become The Beatles I never saw them as I was too young then but my cousin went with her fiancé and she said it was the most concert she had ever been to he was such a fantastic showman even then. RIP Little Richard such a music icon.
