I didn't know he was a qualified doctor, among his many other achievements.

          RIP Sir.

Daisy, many years ago he presented a very interesting programme on BBC2 on the body. A different part each week, finishing with a post mortem. I couldn't bring myself to watch that episode!

I remember that programme, although I didn't watch it, so I didn't realise who presented it. What a clever man he was.

In this area we've had Clive James and Stephen Cleobury who was the choirmaster ( probably had a grander title than that!) at King's College, both familiar faces on the Cambridge scene.

WeeGranny - it's so sad, especially at this time of the year.
