    Viv Nicholson Spend Spend Spend

Viv Nicholson, the woman who became famous overnight when she said she would "spend, spend, spend" a £152,000 Pools win, dies aged 79.

    R.I.P Viv.
I admired her honesty .I would always watch or read any news about her.
She wrote a book, called Spend Spend Spend. It took me years to find the book, one of those reads you couldn't put down. Viv certainly told it like it was.
I know a lot of people didn't like her, but a lot did, including me.

She just had something about her didn't she Nanto, even when she was so down on her luck after spending all her money she always came across as someone who would one day find the love of her life,I remember her winning the cash such a massive amount in those days. R.I.P lovely lady.

She was a gutsy lady,I watched a documentary about her a few years ago.Sadly I think she developed Alzheimers.

Nanto2girls that sounds like an interesting read, I am going to see if I can order a copy from our local library

It's a very interesting read. She doesn't mince her words.A few four letter words, but don't let that put you off reading it. It took me a long time to find the book.Eventually found it an old bookshop, in Doncaster. I lent it to my daughter in law (now my ex DIL) and never got it back.I know she lent it out,so it could be anywhere now.

I can remember her winning that money £64000 I believe, which was a fortune in those days and today it won't even buy a house!! I remember the headlines on the front of the Daily Mirror "Spend, Spend, Spend" an my mum saying she didn't deserve it as she will fritter it away and mums friend said that she to would spend spend spend if she won the money. According to the docudrama "Spend SpendSpend" she actually put some of the money in trust for her children. She certainly lived the good life with her winnings and to be honest I don't blame her.
