Just wondering if anyone's seen the news today? Another mass shooting in America. Las Vegas Country Concert. 50 dead & 200 wounded up to now.
My thoughts go out to all involved.

Terrible Nana My BIL and his partner just back from there and they went to a concert to see J Low , could so easily have been them caught up in it all ,

Oma, it just doesn't pay to go down the 'What if?' route does it? A reporter was saying that gun crime is so common & a lot doesn't even make the news. He gave an example of an infant who took out a gun from the babysitter's handbag & shot/killed two other tots. And THAT didn't even make the news. No words.😢

They have to stop this silly law which allows anyone to carry arms. This man a had a collection of weapons, wonder what his problem was. DD of a friend who I was playing bowls with today was in LV but in another hotel, they were out on the street at the time and they were ushered into the nearest hotel, they didn't know what was happening.

The American gun laws are ridiculous. As my NY friend says, she can't buy a gun where she lives, but drive a few miles into the next state and she can, so anyone can.

Awful tragedy now 59 dead and over 500 injured what was this man thinking ,the area he was shooting at is so open and none of those poor souls stood a chance.We have friends there at the minute and they where sent into the foyer of a Casino for safety.

Gems the news says he lives in a retirement village and is very well off financially his family where interviewed on Sky yesterday and the poor brother looked shell shocked at what had happened he is worried sick about the repercussions towards his family poor man.

It's a terrible thing to have happened.
Last time we were in Vegas, man was shot dead in one the hotel casinos.
We love Vegas though,and we wouldn't let it stop us from going.

I can still remember how shocked I was the first time I went to American (in the 1970s) and saw guns for sale in the supermarket right next to the cereals and cakes, etc. I knew people had guns but to see them like that on sale in the supermarket was truly shocking. And still is.

Most of the American women I know carry a small firearm in their handbags as a matter of course.

Nothing will change there until the mindset of the Americans changes.

I think things have gone so far with guns in America that there isn't any way back. I really hope I 'm wrong.Everyone having guns is one of the trends from America that we just must not follow.

Daisy, I also remember walking through Walmart and seeing guns and ammunition for sale, could not believe it!

unfortunaately, I don't see them chaninging their laws any time soon, especially with Trump in charge.

I agree Enfys - apparently the very powerful American Rifle Association backed Trump's presidential campaign with large sums of money, and he's repealed one law that was a minor safeguard brought in by Obama.
