I have to confess that I have been rather ignorant on exactly fracking what was. One of my fellow committee members was very vocal about it this morning. so I decided to read up on it.

It scares me , They are wanting to target a lot of our area and a lot of the north east has mine shafts what if this causes these shafts to collapse and we have sink holes appear , or it causes earth tremors , what about water pollution ? the cost to the environment ? what I have heard it sounds like it costs more to actually set it up than the benefit of the Gas it will extract ,
On the other hand I suppose likes of the north sea gas drilling brought up all these concerns at the time too ,
I'm all for progress but not just for the sake of progress . we have to do what's needed but safely and I'm not sure this is .Im not fat just 6ft too smallComment
