      This is terrible

. It reminds me of what my friend in Israel and her family were faced with regularly.

I have just found that DD2s best friend's little girl was there.
DDs friend who lost her mum a couple of weeks ago. Her little girl, 10, was there with her friend and friends parents.
They are unharmed and home now, although traumatised. It must have been terrible for the children But at least they are alive and uninjured. The dad helped a lot of casulaties in the bar in the aftermath.

DDs friend has been through so much recently, and now this. I'm sure she will be holding her daugher extra tightly today.

Gem, we can only say. Heartfelt "Thank God" that the little girl, her friend and family are safe and sound. How can you explain atrocities like this to innocent young children.

I didnt see see the news last night, and have only heard what was on Radio 4 as I was driving over to Ds2s this morning, and can't quite take it in yet. There was a mum saying that her daughter was at the concert and she hasn't heard from her. I can't begin to imagine what she's going through.

I heard the breaking news story late last night but never got up out of bed to watch it (oh had it on in the lounge) and was shocked to see the news this morning when I woke up at 5am I have been awake ever since the death toll now stands at 22 and 50+ injured, when will this ever stop and how can these evil people be stopped ? I will worry every time my family go anywhere to be honest but oh says if I think like that they have won.Personally I think Mr Blair has blood on his hands from his previous involvement and now these innocent youngsters to add to the toll its horrendous.

There isn't much anyone can say that hasn't been said before at times like this .
What a horrible, scary , unstable world we live in. I worry for my children and grandchildren, in fact all young people .
We can only hope things do get better

The news reports are so sad. The youngest little girl was only 8 years old

Just been reading the paper, lots more details coming out, very, very sad and angry. Apparently the bomb was in a suitcase, at first I thought why was he allowed in with a suitcase but it was foyer which leads to the station. Terrible accounts from people at the scene.

Our Queen made a surprise visit to the hospital today. Very welcome indeed. She had many conversations with the injured children and their parents. Took her time and was much appreciated. Just seen it online.

Still trying to get our heads around what has happened. Our neighbours are also in shock. No one feels very jolly at the moment. Beyond Tragic.

I heard about the Queens visit yes Elisi.
My mum has been very upset by all this and feeling fearful for the rest of the family out and about. Understandable when she lives alone and has time to dwell on it all.
