In the news it says he was receiving palliative care for some time before he died. My immediate thought was he should have been allowed to suffer for what he did. Does anybody agree with me? It's an awful thing to wish on somebody, but his cruelty to those poor children was in my opinion, inhuman."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. Been thinking about this and though I totally and completely agree that Brady was an inhuman monster I'm afraid I can't condone some of the comments about making him suffer physically.Sorry this is just my personal opinion.I personally don't think anyone has the right to purposely hurt another person however heinous they may be.I must stress this is in no way a criticism of anyone's opinions or comments.Just me being a bit of a softie maybe?

Over the years my mum has often commented about the awful things awaiting certain prisoners once they get into prison. Whilst I could always understand her feelings, I never felt it was right to feel pleasure at anothers suffering, even an evil person.
Daisy, regarding the palliative care I suppose it comes down to human rights, and if we as a society deny even evil specimens like this those rights then I think it makes us less human, if you see what I mean?“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I totally respect your thoughts on this matter, but I can' think that way , I don't know if anyone has read the book Beyon Belief about the murders, it was written by an investigative journalist who interviewed many people and the things they said they had done to what I would call just babies some of them, and to tape their voices crying out in pain and asking for their mummies beggars belief no human rights for those little souls , and in those parents shoes could we live with such harrowing things so for me he should have been hanged , instead we have paid to keep him alive. Like Clover these are my own thoughts so hope no one is offendedLast edited by Qwerty; 18-05-2017, 06:23 PM.
