There are wildfires spreading over various parts of the UK. Very alarming.
With no real rainfall forecast for a while the fireservice are struggling to keep control of some of these.
It must be horrible to live close to one.

Gem, it's a major worry, and once a fire starts it can spread very quickly. My SIL in North Wales said last night that they can smell smoke from the major blaze there, and it's several miles away.

Our area is bone dry. Portable barbecues are banned in the whole area and local shops and supermarkets don't stock them, yet you still see people using them. They have no idea how dangerous even a tiny spark is in these conditions.

There has been a major fire up this end the size of 15 football pitches the last I heard and spreading ,
The grass and fields are so dry .
