Los Angeles Wildfires

The news is covering the horror and danger of the dreadful fires engulfing Los Angeles. Fire takes no account of wealth or fame and the 'star' areas of Pacific Palisades is as devastated as the ordinary homes in Altadena and other neighbourhoods. The firefighters had to stop trying to save people's homes, and many families were told to abandon their homes and cars to the flames.

Some of the photos in the link below are literally awesome and the ferocity of the flames is all too clear. How can you bring that level of devastation under control. My heart goes out to them.

So sad , It's the personal stuff lost , photographs sentimental things,
A home can be rebuilt but you can't get them things back.
Poor Animals have perished too.

I watched one young woman talking about her 82 yr old father who died in his bed as he wouldn't evacuate,
It's so scary how quickly it has spread , she said it jumped two streets and a fire break in a matter of minutes .

It is shocking! All those families losing their homes and personal items, I just read this morning that the fires are still spreading.

I also read that looters are dressing as firefighters to loot homes, 7 were arrested yesterday

Appalling situation. But - I can’t help contrasting the amount of media space given to this contrasted with the 47,000 deaths of Palestinians in Gaza.
