What a shock for him, and everybody. It sounds from the news that the cancer was detected at an early stage when he was having treatment for his enlarged prostrate. Scary.

I was shocked to read somewhere, forgot where, that a conversation had started that if the King dies , how soon would William be crowned ?
Talk about kicking a man when he is down .
Cancer is an horrific disease to be diagnosed with whether you are a King or not.
I know he will have access to services we won't and th the speed of treatment will be faster but no one deserves this diagnosis.
I hope he beats this

Mimi, that sounds totally callous. We're all human beings and as you say a cancer diagnosis is something we all fear.
I know the 'system' prepares well ahead for Royal deaths - all planned and mapped for when needed, but that is very different. I hope the King makes a good and speedy recovery."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Im very Royalist I do hope he comes through this ,
It doesn’t matter if your rich or pauper Cancer is horrible and doesn’t discriminate does it ,
They have had their fair share of ill health these past months ,
Sarah Furguson having first Breast Cancer then skin Cancer , Katherine having surgery then This .
Goes to show every family no matter who have problems .

Plant, we commented on the news picture of him in Paris a few months ago (wearing that blue chalk striped suit) and said how much he suddenly looked like his father.
Oma, you're right, the Royal family have had a lot of worries between health problems and rifts in the family.
