FROM GEM'S POST ON CHAT: The news from Israel is appalling . I have been in touch with the English family of my friend who died in Israel, and the Israeli family are all safe and well, thank goodness.


The news of all the atrocities, murders, hostage-taking and bombing is so terrible, it's beyond our understanding. The fear of ordinary people trying to live their lives is unimaginable.

Would you all like to join me in passing on our thoughts, prayers and good wishes to the Israeli friends of Gem's in the hope that they stay safe and well.

It was devastating ( as Lizzie knows) when our friend and her 15 year old daughter were murdered by the Hezbollah.

Her surviving children and now GC are over there.
I fear for them and all innocent victims.

Gem, It's awful to be so worried, and so helpless - I felt the same when my friend and her husband had to escape from the fighting in Sudan. Sending hugs.

It’s always the innocent on both sides of any conflict that suffer,
These two nations have been at war for centuries, I can’t see even when this is over that there will be peace between them .

I have been trying to read something about what this is all about, still none the wiser. I have learned more about how Hamaz are getting their weapons. I don’t think there will ever be peace in that area, feel so sorry for the innocent families.
